CATCH UP NARA!

So... finally im posting again. and this time im going to try do it once a week... i know i say that alot but yes hopefully this time itl stick!
So the last 2 months have been eventfull overall...
i've been working at a chemist in rosanna... 1/2 an hour by bus from mine but 10 minutes when i get a lift with Simone.. this wicked friend ive made :) everyones lovely but yeah most of them older with kids so havent gotten as close.. Simones pretty cool! shes 28 with a 9 yr old daughter Maya... so cute! she traded me her sultanas for a bit of chocolate i had the other afternoon so were friends now haha. works really slow.. boring most of the time but i get to deliver to the nursing homes which is actually pretty fun. sometimes its depressing but most of the time its just great to be out of the shop!
apart from that ive been ocassionally going into the city to see Leonie or Jess.. Northland shopping centres always a little bit of fun.. even though theres alot of scabby kids hanging around the carpark.

Aarons been to visit once and hel be back in 2 weeks :) we had alot of fun.. hanging with danger & mel our friends from home that moved here too, and just the 2 of us hanging is fun too :).

My parents came to visit which was nice.. a little annoying because they were sleeping in my room so i was in the living room on the inflatable mattress with the cat attacking me at 3 am... which reminds me WE GOT A CAT! little harvey! hes very sweet. when we first got him he was sick.. he had a cold, an eye infection and a mouth full of ulcers so he couldnt eat! the pet shop blamed us for feeding him the wrong food which was a complete lie, they were horrible about it and were going to complain to who ever we can! alot of their animals are sick.. a lady from works son bought a puppy from there and it was very sick with puppy flu. Its the one in the IKEA complex (Richmond) DO NOT BUY PETS HERE.. they are not well looked after and anyone that would stoop so low as to sell sick animals then blame the owners for not giving them more money is not deerving of anyones business!

So yeah....
some places i love in melbourne are:
Degraves street for coffee.. especially the shop actually called degraves. YUM. fun for people watching also!
Lost & Found Market Collingwood... coolest opshop in the world! so great! no opshop smell & no bad items! every piece a gem! wish i could buy the whole shop and im not a real vintage girl.
Chapel Street Prahan... specifically some bazaar.. possibly called the chapel st bazaar not sure.. it was so cool. like lost & found market but different. cluttered but not in a gross way.. in a treasure hunt way :) also the pet store on chapel street is great! it had the best fish section ive seen in a pet shop and the cutest baby turtles... so little!
Preston Market.. for groceries. cheap and fresh and delicious!
a chinese place we had dinner at in Collingwood. it was called the Old China or Old Kingdom or something. anyway GREAT peking duck & the other 4 dishes we had were all wonderfull too! and cheap! mmmmm

Since moving down ive been a little bit Nandos obsessed too. mmmm i need a periperi fix right now!

I went home for the easter long weekend.. saw rosie, elo, add, alysha & blake ( and my lovely boy of course). was great to see everyone i miss them a heap.

Oh! and i saw arj barker the other night with Leonie and Sam! he was so funny and wonderfull! i love him! i wish aaron had been here to see him he loves arj too.. a must see. if you didnt get to this year, next years comedyfest he is a must!

Ok heres some photos in complete random order.. could not be bothered tonight.. next time il be better promise!

a hat i bought from dangerfield.. silly i know but i collect hats so yeah!. been in dangerfield a fair bit lately!

Sunnies from Lost & Found.. like the ones molly ringwald wears in pretty in pink!

When mum & dad were down we went & saw the Ron Muek exhibition at the melb gallery. so cool. realistic as hell! amazing work. i love the gallery ive gota go more often!

Mum & dad at the Collingwood chinese resteraunt i was talking about. the building doesnt look like much but SO YUM!

Jake came down to stay with jess for a few days.. we went to Scienceworks together... its more of a kids thing we discovered but still a bit of fun... ps if you still go DO NOT PAY EXTRA TO SEE THE LIGHTNING ROOM! major dissapointment.

little harvey! hes cute but a turd when youre trying to sleep or hes in crazy mode. which is most of the time!

A bookshelf i assembled.. haha. i feel so accomplished after building ikea furniture which is silly cos its so simple but i love it ha.

Diego the pigeon that hangs out at ours... not as often as he used to since harvey moved in :(

When aaron was down we went to the museum.. it was nice!
some cute dinosaur friends

I bought a deer jumper. yeah what a horrible shot but i love this jumper!

A shot of me and az... not a v. good one but oh well

another museum shot.. crazy taxidermy room!

the nightcat bar i like.. the 2 saturday nights ive been this awesome soul/jazz band were playing and they were so good! made me so happy! this isnt a very good shot but its off the net.. i would feel silly taking a photo in there. but maybe i will next time.

When I hung out with Danger and Mel one day we went and saw Dear John
it was complete bullshit! i give it 1/5 not my kinda movie. hes kinda cute but it wasnt even youre normal boy meets girl blah blah blah crap it was a slightly more annoying variation. so its all normal THEN he goes back to the army and she marrys some old guy and then he eventually dies and theyre friends again. retarded. and not funny.. YUCK

I saw Alice in Wonderland.. twice! i was so hyped the first time i thought i looooved it.. i was completely overexcited about it being the classic combo- tim burton, johnny depp, helena, i think danny elfman did the soundtrack im not sure..
but yeah it wasnt 100% great. i havent read the 2nd alice in wonderland book or atleast not for a long time so i was expecting the classic story with the burton twist and got something quite different. Ive heard he wanted to make it alot darker but realising it had to be a childrens movie whether he liked it or not he lightened it up. bad choice :(
Johnny was great, wonderfull as the mad hatter and probably the only actor thats still ood looking when they have orange hair, crazy eyes and gap teeth!
Helena was awesome as the Red Queen. wicked. loved her.
I liked the guy from little britain(forgive me its late) as tweedle dee and tweedle dum but i wouldve liked to have seen the walrus and the oysters bit. love that.
Anne hathaway was horribly irritating as the white queen.. with her hand constantly in the air and her sighing. gah. i dont know why they did that, maybe because they didnt want us to like her more than alice i duno.
The actress that played alice was a bit flat. didnt hate her performance but it couldve been better.
so yeah i think ive written enough about it.. worth watching but not my favourite movie ever sorry burton :( i give it a 4/5

OK bedtime for me! new post soon i promise myself! featuring photos of the house now its more housey and whatever other adventures i get up to
