2012, xmas party, 9 days!

So didnt get up to that much this week. work as usual..
Only 9 days until i go to singapore, then off to south america :D
cant wait to see my family and another part of the world :D

Last monday Aaron and i saw 2012.. it was pretty good.. alot of them escaping at the last moment from collapsing buildings, a little repetitive but also quite scary.. i give it a 4/5.. worth seeing but i wouldnt see it twice or buy the dvd

I started reading heart shaped box.. it is written a little stupid i think.. as in it sounds as if the author is 'dumbing it down' as if explaining to a little kid.. anyway i got about a quarter of the way through and it got a bit better but it's gotten a bit perverse.. like the ghost is making them think gross sexual/suicidal things so im going to stop reading it.. theres better things i have to read

Rich and his girlfriend Kristen came home thurday night :).. its been 6 months since ive seen them.. havent got to spend much time with them because of work but yay holidays soon :)

Saturday night was work's xmas party.. at Tacking Point Tavern.. the food was not great.. the prawns were ok but they had the 'poop shoot' still in ( that vein along their back).. the other entree was some sort of chicken which was ok. then the choices for mains were steak or lamb.. the lamb was nice but had gross mint sauce on it.. and the steak was a bit strange aaron said. the veges werent great either.. the potatoes were much too buttery and the carrots were old and rubbery.. :S oh well. trevor paid for us so cant really complain.. we can never manage to get good food for work functions.. even places like tacking point tavern usually have good food but it sems when they cook for a group the standards drop:(
anyway we had fun.. it was disney dressup.. i went as cinderella but really lazily.. just had a blue dress the same colour blue as hers but a completely different style and chucked a tiara on my head.. which i took off at every chance. they tried to organise all these games we werent really into.. it was much more fun jsut to tlak and laugh at the staff members who had too much to drink haha..

so this week..

Last Friday night aaron and i went to port city bowling club for buffet dinner
it wasnt all that good but oh well it was cheap.. and aaron won 45 dollars from 5 on a poker machine so that was our dinner paid for :) .. he gave me 5 for the 5 i lost on a machine :)
On Sunday worked then hung out with jake and jess for a little while.. mostly chasing jakes dog becky away from other people haha


On monday we went and saw The Time Traveller's wife

i loved it.. i read the book earlier this year it was a little better but obviously they had to skip a few bits so i think it was the best they could do for film.. was pretty suprised how good eric bana played this serious part.. i give it a 4.5 out of 5.. aaron actually quite liked it too (not that he'l admit it) so yeah not just a girls movie

today had a gap between work and a vitamins training.. so i bought a new pair of shorts from dotti.. there were 3 pairs it was hard to decide between.. if im still thinking about the grey pair on the weekend il probably be naughty and go get those too

also got a nice headband with a peacock feather on it.. wanted another way to do my hair now its so short..

so thats about it.. alot of older people have been falling over and really hurting themselves this week in the centre.. beware! one lady had blood pouring out of her head! but apparently shes ok.. didnt even go to hospital just bandaged it up and walked off! she was 94 i think.. something liek that. some old people are tough huh!

oh also got the new tegan and sara album: sainthood
love it!
didn't like it the first time i heard it but i love it so much now after a few listens its really grown on me :) love them!

oh one more thing.. finished the book i was reading.. water for elephants
it was really good. especially towards the end.. i couldnt put it down today :)
it's about travelling circuses in the 1930s
a few sex scenes haha but all up a really good book :)

saw the imaginarium of dr parnassus with aaron.. i liked it but it didnt really go anywhere
it was cool tho.. and heath ledgers last movie.. he was pretty good in it. i give it 4/5

before that we had dinner at cafe 66 with alysha and blake.. i had mushroom risotto it was really nice :)


i got my hair cut real short too.. photos later, i havent taken any yet
